This Recipe is so COOL! (It uses Ice Cream!)

Here is a recipe for these really yummy ice-creame pops
treat friends to chilly lollipops! They're a good excuse for a party. Label each handle with the name of a guest and use them for place cards if you like.
you will need 4 wooden spoons
vanilla ice cream
2 five ounce milk chocolate bars
1/4 cup of shortening
1/2 cup of chopped nuts
take out
sharp knife,
shallow pan,
measuring cups,
spoon,
double boiler,
small bowl,
table knife.
step 1
 write names on spoons.
cut ice cream in half .cut
eache piece in half again.
step 2
stick a wooden spoon in each piece. place in a shallow pan. freeze until vary hard
step 3
put 2 inches water in bottom of double boiler. melt chocolate and shortening in top. mix. cool till warm
step 4
spread chocolate on one side of pop. dip in nuts at once. repeat on other sides, bottom. store in freezer.
I wanted to make this recipe but we did not have a double boiler.  We tried melting the chocolate in a pan that was sitting in another pan of water.  It sort-of worked but not really that great.  One day my mom came home from grocery shopping and she said, "I have a surprise for you..."  and I somehow knew what it was IT WAS A NEW DOUBLE BOILER! And I have used it a couple times now with peanut goodies witch we will talk about later ...And I love it!  And as you can see, my little sister LOVED the ice cream treats!
